BUNNY JUGS
GRADE: 3 LENGTH: 1KM
BUILT: by Rotorua Mountain Bike Club. The first section was dug by hand by volunteers Stefan Bennett, Rob Metz, Mike Metz and Jeff Carter.
The track is called Bunny Jugs because it was started at Easter and some 70s style pottery jugs were found while digging it.
GETTING THERE: The trail entrance to Bunny Jugs 1 is on Red Tank Rd not far from the big intersection of Red Tank, Direct and Pipeline roads. This first section exits (at speed) to a forestry road which links to Pipeline road. Follow the short road along to Pipeline and continue south to the start of Bunny Jugs 2. It meanders along to exit near the bottom of the shuttle route.
TRAIL DESCRIPTION: Fast, flowing with a couple of rough sections.
GETTING OUT: Exits on Pipeline Rd. From there most riders head right down the road to get to the water tap and intersection of Hill and Pipeline Roads where the shuttle pick up point is.
