GETTING THERE: Starts from the highest point of Direct Road (that's the road connecting Sidewinder and Hot X Buns trails).
TRAIL DESCRIPTION: The Maori name for New Zealand's native Owl (Morepork) - Te Ruru is a handbuilt descending trail. Some steep sections with roots and off camber.
GETTING OUT: Exits on Red Tank Road near the junction with Windy Road. There are multiple options from here but the two most common will be to either turn right to get to Sidewinder trail to head back up the face of the hill. Or turn left and follow Red Tank Road around to the other side of the hill.
