CHOP SUEY

GRADE: 3 LENGTH: 1KM

BUILT: in 2004 by Flipper.

GETTING THERE: Starts a little up Reservoir Rd from the intersection with Ring Rd.

It's also close to the finish of Moonshine trail and Roller Coaster.

TRAIL DESCRIPTION: The first climb is a short, sharp effort rewarded with a tight little trail around a bluff and down through a stand of redwoods above a spring visible below.
Rolling through dense canopy of spruce trees is very dark in low light. In the height of summer it's a welcome, cooling relief from the heat.
There are a couple of short cuts into Chop Suey from Reservoir Rd. that avoid the initial hill. If you take them just make sure you turn right onto Chop Suey to go with the flow of the direction of the trail (it's a one-way designated trail)

GETTING OUT: Exits on Hill Rd. very close to the shuttle pick up point. Since recent logging you need to head up to Pipeline Rd and proceed left to Nice Rd to find the next course in the Chinese Menu set in Sweet & Sour.
