BUILT BY: Originally hand-built by Rob Metz and Mark Thompson for RMTBC. Re-instated after forestry harvesting by the Rotorua Trails Trust.

GETTING THERE: At the summit of Moerangi Road - on one side Bush Road leads off to Kung Fu Walrus trail, and on the opposite side is the Timewarp trail climb which takes you to a trig and the beginning of Frankenfurter trail and the Rocky Horror trail system, and the start of Split Enz trail.

TRAIL DESCRIPTION: A few hundred metres of climbing through pine forest brings you to more open terrain and the gradient of the climb eases to wind its way up to the trig you can see on the horizon. Check out the views on the way up - Lake Rotokakahi (Green Lake) to the south, with Mount Ruapehu visible on a clear day. 
At the trig on the top of the hill, take in the views in the other direction - over Mount Ngongotaha, Rotorua city and Lake Rotorua.

GETTING OUT: The trail ends at the high point of the trig - to the left is Split Enz trail, to the right is Frankenfurter which leads into Riff Raff and Rocky Horror trails.
